The demands of a French brand
For almost 50 years, cast iron has been at the heart of SEGUIN’s expertise, a history of flame symbolizing solidity, performance and durability. Precision-manufactured in our Les Sables workshop in Randan, our cast-iron stoves combine authentic design and sturdiness, guaranteed for up to 10 years.
This tradition is complemented by steel know-how, developed in our Virignin, Valence, Vendargues and Høerning workshops, with models featuring contemporary, modular design that can be customized to suit your needs.
Whatever the material, rigor, passion and exacting standards guide our design, integrating the best technologies and carefully selected materials.
Choosing SEGUIN, Une histoire de flamme means opting for a durable stove, made in France, that meets the highest technical, aesthetic and functional expectations.
SEGUIN, Une histoire de flamme
For almost 50 years, Groupe SEGUIN has been imagining, designing and manufacturing high-performance, durable and environmentally-friendly heating appliances in the heart of the Auvergne region of France.
A family business by nature, Groupe SEGUIN has been built around strong human values, combining passion, high standards and commitment. Our history, rooted in Randan in the north of the Puy-de-Dôme region, shapes our development every day.
This territory guides our industrial strategy: producing locally, controlling our logistics flows and asserting our territorial roots through five manufacturing workshops, where 320 employees are mobilized on a daily basis around performance and quality.

What is a bioethanol stove?
The bioethanol stove is an auxiliary heating appliance, powered by the combustion of bioethanol, derived from the fermentation of plants (beet, cereals). The bioethanol stove produces heat, emits no smoke, ashes or significant odors, and requires no flue. This ease of installation makes it an ideal solution for apartments, rentals, second homes, hotels, B&Bs or tiny houses.
With its contemporary design and authentic flames, it blends elegantly into any interior, for a warm and welcoming experience.
How does a bioethanol stove work?
Operation is simple and accessible to all. The stove is fed by a 10 L canister of bioethanol, placed directly in the appliance, which automatically supplies the burner.
Once lit, it produces a real flame that spreads heat around the room. No ducting or complex installation is required, making it an ideal solution for apartments or houses without ducting.
What’s more, the Uni(k) by Seguin range incorporates flame regulation systems and safety tanks for even greater convenience and safety.
What are the advantages of a bioethanol stove?
The bioethanol stove appeals to many users thanks to its unique combination of practicality, performance and aesthetics.
Key benefits include
Easy, flexible flue-free installation
The bioethanol stove requires no flue, no chimney, and no major structural work. This makes it an ideal solution for all types of housing, whether a modern apartment, an old house or even an office. So you can quickly benefit from auxiliary heating without technical constraints.
Mobility and adaptability
The special feature of SEGUIN bioethanol stoves is their adaptability. In fact, the Uni(k) 4 bioethanol stove is lightweight and easy to move thanks to its discreet castors, and can easily be moved from one room to another. This flexibility means you can adapt your heating to suit your needs: warm up a living room for a cosy evening, create a cozy corner in a veranda or take a break and refocus in a disconnected bubble…
Minimal maintenance and ease of use:
The bioethanol stove produces no soot, ashes or smoke, so maintenance is greatly reduced. Regular cleaning of the burner and periodic checking of the tank are all that’s needed to keep the appliance in perfect working order, making it particularly practical for everyday use.
Design, ambience and visual comfort:
Beyond its heating function, the bioethanol stove plays an important decorative role. The sight of the flame brings immediate visual warmth and creates a friendly, soothing atmosphere in the room. The high-performance models in the Uni(k) by Seguin range combine homogeneous heat distribution with aesthetic appeal, transforming the appliance into a true centerpiece of your interior.
Versatile installation
Thanks to these features, the bioethanol stove can be installed in spaces where conventional heating would be complicated to set up: apartments, offices, verandas, tiny houses or even modular rooms. It’s an efficient, elegant solution for creating a warm atmosphere quickly and easily, without the need for construction work or technical constraints.
What is the autonomy of a bioethanol stove?
Autonomy depends on the model and tank size. In general, a bioethanol stove can run continuously for between 8 and 14 hours. Some more advanced models, like our Uni(k) range, can run for up to 27 hours.
The Uni(k) range goes even further in terms of autonomy. Thanks to an integrated automatic pumping system and four power levels, consumption can be optimized to suit your needs. Combined with a 10-liter canister, the unit offers an autonomy of up to 27 hours of heating without recharging. This performance is particularly valuable for maintaining a warm, pleasant atmosphere over long periods, without having to constantly monitor the fill-up.
It’s important to remember, however, that despite its ability to efficiently heat a room, the bioethanol stove is not a replacement for a main heating system. It is designed to complement your existing system and bring targeted warmth to living spaces.
How much does it cost to heat with bioethanol?
One of the main advantages of a bioethanol stove is its ease of use and control over energy consumption. Depending on the wattage selected and the operating mode chosen, an appliance consumes on average between 0.4 and 0.7 liters per hour. This variation is explained by the stove’s setting: at minimum power, the stove heats gently, ideal for prolonging autonomy, while at maximum power, heat production is more intense but consumption increases proportionately.
Based on an average bioethanol price of between €2.23 and €5.2 per liter , depending on the quantity you buy (source: höfer-shop.com in 2025). Compared with other forms of supplementary heating, bioethanol offers an attractive cost-comfort ratio.
Safety and maintenance: a stove that’s easy to use every day
One of the major assets of the uni(k) range is its ease of maintenance and built-in safety, making it perfectly suited to everyday use.
Safety is a priority. The models in the Uni(K) range, are equipped with advanced flame control devices:
- Temperature and CO₂ sensors: these continuously monitor ambient conditions and stove temperature. If a critical CO₂ level or overheating is detected, the system automatically triggers a warning or safety shutdown.
- Automatic shutdown: if the stove detects overheating or a lack of fuel, it shuts down immediately.
- Safe bioethanol handling: the fuel is stored in liquid form in practical, easy-to-handle canisters. Simply keep them in a ventilated, dry place, out of the reach of children.
By following these simple instructions, you’ll be able to use your bioethanol stove safely and reliably, even in households with children or pets. Combined with correct installation and minimal supervision, the bioethanol stove becomes a practical, aesthetic and safe heating solution, offering pleasant warmth without the constraints of traditional heating.
How do I choose my bioethanol stove?
Choosing a bioethanol stove isn’t just about selecting a pretty decorative object: it’s about finding a device that combines efficiency, safety and comfort of use. There are several key criteria to help you make the right choice.
Real power
The models in the Uni(k) by Seguin range offer power levels suitable for rooms over 28 m², guaranteeing even heat distribution and immediate comfort. With appliances like those offered by SEGUIN, your bioethanol stove can meet all your needs.
Built-in safety
A good bioethanol stove must include reliable safety systems: automatic shutdown in the event of overheating, protection against tipping over and a safe burner. These features ensure peace of mind, even in homes with children or pets.
Autonomy
Autonomy, i.e. the time it takes to burn a full tank of bioethanol, varies according to tank capacity and burner power. Good autonomy reduces the frequency of refueling and simplifies daily use, especially if you use your stove as a regular auxiliary heater.
Mobility
One of the major advantages of a bioethanol stove is its mobility. You can move it from one room to another as required, provided it is switched off and fully cooled. This creates a flexible auxiliary heating system, perfect for apartments or modular homes.
Design and personalization
The bioethanol stove is also a decorative element in its own right. Models like the uni(k) range offer clean lines, a variety of materials and customizable finishes to suit any interior, from a contemporary living room to a cosy conservatory or office.
Efficiency
Last but not least, the stove’s efficiency – i.e. the effectiveness with which it converts bioethanol into heat – has a direct impact on your comfort and fuel consumption. A high-performance appliance delivers constant, long-lasting heat with minimum handling, for ease of use and peace of mind.
Durability and investment: a long-lasting auxiliary heater
Investing in a bioethanol stove means opting for a robust, long-lasting appliance. Made from quality materials, these stoves can be with you for many years. They require little maintenance and can be adapted to different spaces according to your needs.
The Uni(k) by SEGUIN range offers reliable, high-performance models up to 4.5 kW, combining modern design with thermal comfort. Choosing a bioethanol stove means combining aesthetics, practicality and punctual heat for your home, without heavy constraints.
